In Loving Memory of J. Arch

To know J. Arch was to love J. Arch – it was really that easy. He had presence not only in the physical sense, but with a smile that could light up the darkest path and a heart bigger than himself. Arch was a son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend. He was a protector, mentor and confidant. He was a warrior, he was magic. Words simply could never do him justice – J. Arch was just… the best.

As many of you know, J. Arch had been ill recently. He passed on Thursday November 27th, 2014. This campaign has been started to raise money for J. Arch’s family in support of their loss. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated. We are also collecting photographs of Arch for his memorial. Any photos can be sent to

Viewing services will be held on Thursday, December 11th at:
Unity Funeral Chapels
2352-54-56 8th ave (Nr. W. 126th st)
New York City, NY 10027
from 3pm-8pm

We will also be celebrating his life at a Benefit/Memorial show scheduled for December 22nd at SOBS (204 Varick Street NY, NY 10014) Time/Door/Ticket/Special performances TBA

***Arch, your presence is truly missed. You will live on within each and every one of us. Thank you for being our light. We love you like cooked food. and oxygen.***

About End of the Weak

End of the Weak (Eodub) was founded in 2000 as one of the few weekly platforms in NYC where hip-hop performers were able to hone their talent. What started as a small Open Mic in the back of a restaurant has grown into NYC’s longest-running weekly hip-hop show and an International Hip-Hop movement.

End of the Weak has expanded into 15 countries across 5 continents and 22 cities around the globe. Our MC Challenge has given thousands of artists all over the world a new medium to test their talents. The non-confrontational tone of the EOW MC Challenge and the talent of the MC’s that compete in it have catapulted our success and allowed to us bring together hip-hop lovers across the world.

Eodub is now a multi national entertainment lifestyle brand. We produce events, multimedia and clothing that represent our uniquely global hip hop flavor.

We welcome you to the 1st End of the Weak International Hip Hop Festival in Kampala, Uganda.

The event is made possible with support from

UNCC – Uganda National Cultual Centre
Goethe Institut
Bayimba Foundation
Urban Aksent Music
Afrika Arts Kollective
Sawa Records
Hot 100
Urban Hype
Sade Workshop

And the Entire UG Hip Hop Community.

KickStarter for 2014 World Finals in Uganda

This year, for the first time, the international End of the Weak cultural exchange program will take place in Uganda, Africa.

EOW Uganda will host 24 participants from 9 countries to experience Ugandan culture and connect with local artists and people.

This year’s project involves:
— art and music workshops
— music, dance and urban art collaborations recorded, performed and exhibited
— an all-day festival scheduled October 25th where workshop participants will display and perform their creative work
— public panel discussion with local community to share their experiences with Hip Hop culture with the visiting international artists
— grand finalé performance by local and international MCs, dancers, street artists and DJs

The entire cultural exchange program will take place October 18- 27, 2014, with educational workshops October 20-24 and the music festival on October 25, 2014.

The total project cost including travel, accommodation, merchandising, video/photo documentation, studio recording, CD production, and venue rental is over $30,000. Each country has held local fundraisers in their respective countries to support costs for accommodation, transport and other travel expenses.

We are looking to the Kick Starter community to raise ONLY $5000 to help produce the festival.

These funds will be used:
— for venue, sound system and lighting rental
— to design and produce t-shirts to distribute to fans and participants
— to record and produce a compilation album

The Voice of New York’s Underground Has Mid-Life Crisis

June 25, 2014 — New York, NY — Fans and industry heads alike want to know: What happened to New York Hip Hop? While the king’s throne is being disputed, Vice Verses, the uncontested voice of the underground, has answers and he’s having a Mid-Life Crisis. After growing up in the birthplace, witnessing the inception, joining the ranks as an artist, and creating a 13 years running weekly open mic, this man of Hip Hop presents an album that bridges the supposed gap between classic and modern, clearing up our confusion.

Vice Verses grew up with Hip Hop, having witnessed its inception as a child raised in the Bronx. He was inducted into the movement at 12 years old when he received lyrics sent from jail by his sister’s then boyfriend. As a young fan of soon-to-be legends like Rakim, KRS One, and Big Daddy Kane, Vice realized he could write better lyrics than these. In this moment of clarity, Vice’s path in life was set.

No longer a 12 year old finding his voice, Vice has grown into a man of Hip Hop with a mission to enlighten the masses as he entertains, pairing classic lyricism with today’s anthemic bars. Dumify (produced by DJ Rob Flow) stands out as a personal theme song as it throws down the gauntlet, challenging other MCs to “at least have the decency to be creative with the cadence.” Yungstar delves into the sexually explicit with a dueling verse provided by producer DJ Rob Flow. In both cases, Vice’s “lyrics represent the new age of wordplay–from an intelligent artist.” While DJ Rob Flow provides the pop sample laden alternative commercial sound, the album’s other producers Oddateee, Superb, and Dama Nillz represent the underground with tracks like Let’s Go, Playtime, and Killars At Large. The entire album is influenced by his 13 years of hosting End Of the Weak (EODub), a now international weekly open mic that has no doubt shaped the lives of artists and the global Hip Hop community.
